Introduction

This tutorial focuses on getting your certification on Field Service Lightning. This is where we use our Salesforce tools to help field technicians and our dispatchers to work efficiently and as effectively as possible. We continue to explore features that are available in this package and how you can do everything simply with your mouse!

Candidates should be able to successfully administer and configure a Salesforce application that meets customer field-service-operation requirements.

What is the target audience?

A Salesforce Field Service Lightning Consultant has proven experience with the administration and configuration of a Salesforce application and is capable of consulting with customers on Field Service operations. Additionally, the consultant is capable of implementing Salesforce Service Cloud and Field Service Lightning solutions in a customer-facing role.

Project Outline

Session 1: Setup

Package is available for everyone to use but it needs to be set-up. In this video we'll walk you through setting it up, so you are able to follow along in our videos and workbook.

Session 2: Operating Hours & Service Territories

We'll start with two custom objects that come as part of this package. You will see how easy it is to create them, and later on, we will explain how this all comes together.

Session 3: Work Types, Work Rules, Resources

We'll continue exploring some more objects that are part of this package. Each of this objects plays different rules when setting up your field techs for success, ensuring you are meeting customer satisfaction.

Session 4: Work Types, Service Objectives, Inventory Management

This is more a definition session, where we explain some of the definition of the materials we covered in the previous section. These definitions are very important for the exam, as most question are around it.

Session 5: Mobile

We will show the showcase the capabilities of Salesforce mobile app, specifically developed to help Field Techs. We'll even show a small demo video of what it can do and how powerful it can be once set up correctly.
